Our Pimcore PIM interface is ready for Shopware 6.
In addition to many functional innovations and a new backend, Shopware 6 has also made some changes under the hood. This is because the e-commerce software now follows the API first approach, i.e. modular units are docked onto the core product. For example, the Admin API provides the administration interface (formerly the backend). In addition, various sales channels such as online stores, social media channels or marketplaces can be controlled via the Sales Channels API.
Finally, the Sync API ensures communication between Shopware and external systems such as ERP or PIM. We also use this Sync API for our Pimcore PIM interface. So that PIM and online store can communicate seamlessly. As this API has been completely redeveloped by Shopware, we have also implemented our Pimcore PIM interface from scratch. Naturally based on our experience and projects with Shopware 5.
With the Pimcore PIM interface, you can control all product data centrally in Pimcore and export it to a sales channel based on Shopware. For example, to an online store. All the advantages of the open source PIM software are available to you in Pimcore:
- Professional data management
- Import and export
- Authorizations and customized views
- Workflows and dashboards
- and much more.
In addition, our interface continues to offer features such as:
- Multishop capability: control of multiple sales channels and online stores
- Management of Shopware-specific free text fields
- Preview of the product detail page in Pimcore
- and much more.
We would be happy to show you the possibilities of our new Pimcore PIM interface for Shopware 6 in online webinars. And get to know our solutions for professional product data management.
Our colleague Timo Trautmann has also written an article in PHP Magazin to help you understand the technical aspects. In this article, Timo describes the technical functionality and architecture of the interface.
