Wocken online store for industry, trade and commerce

B2B online store with Shopware

Wocken Industriepartner GmbH & Co. KG, based in Meppen, is active in the areas of wholesale, services and rental stores for industry, trade and commerce. The company has 300 employees and serves customers from a wide range of sectors at 14 locations, mainly in northern Germany. Wocken decided to replace its existing website in order to optimally serve these customers and make processes simpler and leaner. In mid-January 2018, Wocken Industriepartner therefore went online with a new B2B online store based on Shopware. In order to meet the specific B2B requirements, Wocken is the first customer to use the Shopware B2B Suite. This solution extends the standard functions of the Shopware Enterprise Edition with important B2B features:

  • Self-management of company accounts with the option of setting up employee accounts independently
  • Design of approval processes in purchasing
  • Definition of budgets for purchasing
  • Rights and roles system for precise mapping of responsibilities
  • Address management for a wide range of billing and delivery addresses
  • Quick order for easier entry of recurring orders

In addition to presenting the product range and the items on offer, service plays a very important role for the company. For example, equipment and machines are offered for rent in the rental store. In addition, customers can manage their own equipment and enter and view orders in the closed area. Training content is also offered in the e-learning area. And this professional service is available around the clock.

scope01 for Wocken industrial partners

scope01 is responsible for the optimization and further development of the B2B online store. In addition, the e-commerce agency takes care of all operational issues such as support, maintenance and updates. Before going online, scope01 had already implemented Pimcore’s DAM (Digital Asset Management) component for the online store’s media management and seamlessly connected it to Shopware. Wocken is already using Pimcore to manage almost 50,000 pieces of data, in particular media in the form of images and pictograms. This gives Wocken access to Pimcore’s extensive options for managing media data such as image processing, image scaling and metadata management.

“Arriving on the Internet does not mean being successful on the Internet. For companies in particular, an agency guide with experience in business processes is indispensable. That's why Wocken opted for scope01. ”
