Fashion online store with Shopware

gardeur is the specialist for pants. The Mönchengladbach-based company has been designing and producing high-quality men’s and women’s pants and skirts since 1920. A special feature of gardeur is that it combines all development steps from the design to the finished pants in the company. This is because the products are also manufactured in the company’s own factories. These factors are the basis for the high quality of the products. The high-quality products have also been offered in an online store for several years. However, the previous store based on Oracle Commerce Cloud was no longer able to meet the requirements of customers and operators. For this reason, the fashion company decided to relaunch its online store with Shopware 6.

GARDEUR ONLINE STORE WITH SHOPWARE 6 IN 3 MONTHS

scope01 – e-commerce agency from Frankfurt am Main – realized the online store for gardeur in a project period of 3 months. At the beginning of the project, the conceptual foundations were laid in workshops. In the design phase, our designer Felix Weihnacht developed an appealing web design that combines visual attractiveness and high usability tailored to the relevant target group. The frontend specialists at scope01 then integrated this design into Shopware. Close coordination between web design and frontend development as well as intensive testing ensured a successful integration.

INTERFACES TO SICSONE & COMMDOO

In addition, scope01 has developed a new interface from Shopware 6 to the ERP system SICSone for gardeur. This allows product stocks to be imported and orders to be exported from the store system to the ERP system. The use of vouchers and the returns process are also integrated into the interface.

The payment provider for the online store is CommDoo. This allows customers to pay for their purchases by credit card, invoice, instant bank transfer and PayPal. For this purpose, scope01 has adapted the existing Shopware 6 plugin from CommDoo to the individual requirements. In addition, the Shopware plug ins DHL, Trusted Shops and CleverReach are used for the connection. Customers can use the store locator to search for sales outlets for gardeur products. Further steps to develop the fashion online store are already planned for the future. For example, further sales channels and the connection of marketplaces are planned. Gardeur is also aiming to expand its e-commerce activities internationally to new countries.
