B2B online store with Shopware
Wocken Industriepartner, based in Meppen, is active in the fields of wholesale, service and rental stores for industry and trade. The company employs 300 people and serves customers from a wide range of industries at 14 locations, primarily in northern Germany. In order to serve these customers optimally and to make processes simpler and leaner, Wocken decided to replace its existing website.
In mid-January 2018, Wocken therefore went online with a new B2B online store based on Shopware. In order to meet the specific B2B requirements, Wocken is the first customer to use the Shopware B2B Suite. This solution extends the standard functions of Shopware Enterprise Edition with important B2B features:
- Self-management of corporate accounts with the ability to set up employee accounts independently.
- Design of approval processes in purchasing
- Definition of budgets for purchasing
- Rights and role system for precise mapping of responsibilities
- Address management for a wide range of billing and delivery addresses
- Quick order for easier entry of recurring orders
scope01 is responsible for the optimization and further development of the B2B online store in the future. In addition, the web agency takes over all issues in the ongoing operation such as support, maintenance and update.
Before going online, scope01 had already implemented the DAM (Digital Asset Management) component of Pimcore for the media management of the online store and seamlessly connected it to Shopware.
At the start, Wocken already manages almost 50,000 media data with Pimcore, especially images and pictograms. This gives Wocken access to Pimcore’s extensive media data management capabilities, such as image editing, image scaling and metadata management.
"Arriving on the internet does not mean being successful on the Internet.
For companies in particular, an agency pilot with experience in business processes
is indispensable as a companion. That's why Wocken chose scope01."
