Manage and structure Shopware media data in Pimcore
Media in Shopware is managed in the Media Manager. This allows media to be managed in directories. No other functions, particularly for editing media, are available. The Media Manager reaches its limits, especially in online shops with a large amount of media. This is where Pimcore’s media management can be very helpful, as it makes it easier to manage large amounts of media. Media can be stored in a structured manner in a category structure.
In addition, Pimcore offers the option of editing media in its media management system. Images in particular can be edited and modified using the most common tools. It is also possible to create different levels.
Finally, the media can be played out to other channels in addition to the online shop. This also allows for a separate media portal for downloading the media.
The DAM interface from scope01 ensures communication between the DAM component of Pimcore and the media manager of Shopware. Images already managed in Shopware are imported into Pimcore, where they are available for editing or exchange. The structure remains the same as in Shopware, and after editing, the images are imported back into Shopware Standard via the REST API and continue to be delivered by Shopware.
