Buy a wide range of forest-related products online
The Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald (SDW), based in Bonn, is a legally recognized nature conservation association with around 25,000 members. The association is committed to sustainable forest management, the protection of forests and raising awareness of nature and forests among children and adults.
In addition to the website at https://www.sdw.de/, the federal association also offers an online store at https://shop.sdw.de/. This store offers a wide range of forest-related products. These include printed products such as leaflets, brochures and flyers for teaching and education, as well as wooden articles, games and books.
Shopware instead of OXID
The previous online store based on OXID eShop was getting on in years, so SDW was faced with the question of how to sell its products online in future. scope01 advised SDW on the selection of a store system and implemented the new online store based on Shopware.
The decisive factors for choosing Shopware over OXID were the low entry costs, the fast implementation period and the wide range of Shopware functions. In addition, Shopware offers the possibility to expand the online store with ready-made modules and plugins in the future thanks to the plugin store.
The online store has already been very well received in its early days and allows SDW to look optimistically into the future of e-commerce.
