Pimcore introduction at Videor

Videor E. Hartig GmbH is a leading distributor of professional video and security technology based in Rödermark near Frankfurt am Main. For over 50 years, the family-run company has been offering high-quality products, innovative solutions and comprehensive advice for the German-speaking market.

Together with scope01, Videor replaced the previous PIM system Connexus with Pimcore in order to make product data management future-proof and efficient. Workshops were held at the start of the project to record all individual requirements and develop a customized setup that enabled a smooth changeover and successful implementation of the PIM system.

State-of-the-art interface integration and data migration

A central component of the project was the connection of the Proalpha ERP system, which automatically delivers master data to Pimcore. Extensive data imports from the existing Magento online store were efficiently migrated with the help of the Data Director. The interface between Magento and Pimcore via GraphQL was implemented by the Videor team with targeted coaching from scope01 to ensure independence during maintenance and expansion. In addition, scope01 provided intensive support in advising on flexible class structures and the creation of property sets to ensure optimal management of the product data.

Expert advice and coaching from Videor

In addition to the technical implementation, the focus was on practice-oriented consulting. scope01 supported Videor in setting up logical class and property groups that enable efficient maintenance and scaling of the product information. This methodical coaching ensures long-term flexibility and makes it much easier to manage complex product data.
